The Art Deco Armchair: A Serene Vintage Accent
From the heart of the 1920s-1930s, this Art Deco armchair presents a picture of refined design, its frame constructed from solid, aged teak wood. The curved armrests, shaped with a unique three-finger support, display the period’s skilled craftsmanship, echoing the aerodynamic lines of the Streamline Moderne movement, as seen in the works of designers like Kem Weber.
Crafted using time-honored techniques, the wide, sweeping armrests are a clear nod to this iconic design era. The natural beauty of the teak’s grain is showcased on the armrest tops, bringing a touch of organic texture to the piece.
Upholstered in a calming dusty teal fabric, this armchair offers a tranquil elegance. The muted, yet deep, hue harmonizes with the teak’s warm tones, creating a piece that balances vintage allure with a contemporary sense of peace. This armchair offers a sophisticated touch, ideal for a space seeking a calm and elegant focal point.

I’m really pleased with this Art Deco armchair. The dusty teal fabric is a perfect match for my living room’s calming aesthetic. The teak wood frame feels sturdy and well-crafted, showcasing beautiful natural grain. At 65cm wide, it fits perfectly in my space without overwhelming it. While the price point is a bit steep, the quality and timeless design make it worth the investment. I almost wish I could find a pair in Kazakhstan to complete my vintage collection!
